Bear Naked Fit Granola

bear naked fit granola
Granola is so wholesome – but you really have to be careful when buying granola if you are counting calories!  Most people assume that if it says granola its good for you when dieting – but if you read the label on some granolas – you’ll quickly see that not all granolas are created equal, with many having more than 200 calories per serving!

But, I love granola, especially mixed with fruit and yogurt, as a parfait. One of my new favorite granolas is called Bear Naked Fit Granola.  This wholesome granola is available in two decadent and yummy flavors, including vanilla almond crunch (with delicious whole almonds, whole grain oats and ground flax seed) and triple berry crunch (with whole grain oats, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and more).  You may recall that I have posted on the health benefits of flax seed before, and the vanilla almond variety is a great way to get flax into your diet.

As far as calories go, this is a lower calorie version of Bear Naked’s other granolas and contains just 4 grams of sugar per serving and 120 calories (and 3 weight watchers points plus points) for a quarter cup.  There are not trans-fats or saturated fats in this delicious mix, and it provides two grams of dietary fiber (three grams in the berry variety) and four grams of protein per serving.  These are delicious when you toss a half serving of them into your favorite yogurt or when eaten on their own for a delicious and satisfying snack.  You might also think about adding this granola to your favorite trail mix recipe

You can also get your granola fix by trying Enjoy Life’s Cinnamon Crunch granola cereal, or Kashi GoLean Crip Toasted Berry Crumble Cereal – I’ve posted and reviewed both of them before.  I enjoy both of these cereals for their granola crunch – just add some nutritious almond milk, grab a spoon, and breakfast is ready!

Enjoy!
