Buffalo Chicken, without the Chicken

health is wealth chicken free low calorie buffalo wingsWe came across these Health Is Wealth Buffalo Chicken Wings in Whole Foods many years ago, and were floored by how totally delicious they were. I know you loyal meat eaters out there will be skeptical of this food recommendation, but I highly encourage you to get past the vegan label, and give these chicken-free buffalo wings a try! Now, as a not-big-meat-fan, I admit, I might be biased in recommending these chicken wings. But, my very-big-meat-fan husband loves them as well, so I'm confident that they will make even a meat eater quite satisfied.

We often couple these chicken-free wings with celery (0 WW points) and dip them either with buffalo sauce, barbecue sauce, or fat-free sour cream. When I am craving really bad food (but I don't want to eat fat and oil), I sometimes pair these to-die-for wings with baked french fries. of these wings comes in at 2 points, so you can eat two servings of them for 4 points, along with the side of your choice. Let me know what you think.

Enjoy!
Juliet

If you are looking to cut calories and fat or just to find some healthier snacks then I recommend SEEKING OUT vegan options. We don't have to be afraid of something that says "vegan." All that means is that it doesn't involve killing... It also almost always indicates that it has been produced in a more environmentally friendly and sustainable manner. I highly recommend the book "The Way We Eat: Why Our Food Choices Matter" by Peter Singer and Jim Mason.

I have not seen these in any of my local stores, I have tried the ones by Morningstar farms and they were delish. I'm not sure how the nutritional info stacks up though.
