Low Calorie Indian Dinner With Naan!

low calorie naan and low calorie indian dinnerOkay, I know frozen food isn't the "hippest" thing to eat, but sometimes we are just plain too busy too cook (at least that's oftentimes the case for me). Frozen food is great for these times. I usually buy my frozen food at Whole Foods (like the low calorie macaroni and cheese I blogged about previously), so they are generally less processed than the ones at the regular supermarket.

So, today I'm blogging about one of my favorite frozen meals. Tandoori Chef's Kofta Curry (only 4 WW points for the whole package -- 200 calories) with Trader Joes Naan (3 WW points -- 180 calories). The Kofta Curry is delicious (I like to overcook mine a bit), and it is all natural, cholesterol free, dairy free, and vegan. Looking at the ingredients, I see nothing scary or "bad" in the list (it is made of tomatoes, wheat flower, garlic, chickpea flour, etc. etc.). So, it should fit the bill for all you seriously restrictive dieters out there! Also, the portion is really big (10 oz., which is two servings, each at 100 calories) and is amazingly filling.

I like to eat my Kofta Curry with Tandoori Naan. I buy the Kofta Curry at Whole Foods (the same brand, Tandoori Chef, makes some other great meals, although many of them have more calories than the one featured here). I buy the Naan in the frozen food section at Trader Joes.

This dinner is delicious and makes for a really great 7-8 points (380 calorie -- depending on whether you double the points value per serving, or double the serving then do the points) meal. I know you will enjoy it. Can't wait to hear what you think!

The Naan is absolutely delicious! I haven't been able to find the Kofta Curry at my local Whole Foods, but I have had Ethnic Gourmet's Tandoori Chicken and Spinach. It goes well with the Naan and it's only 170 calories!
