As you might have guessed, my particular favorite is the 100 calorie One Bun, at just 2 weight watchers point per pretty big bun. Ozery Bakery Buns are made using whole grain white wheat flour and organic sour dough. These are great to use for a low-cal sandwich, as the base for a miniature pizza, or for in the following recipe:
Yummy French Toast
Ozery Bakery Buns
Promise Light Spread
Low-Calorie syrup of your choosing
Prepare egg beaters according to package directions. You will need about ½ cup of Egg Beaters per slice of toast prepared, so prepare the amount needed based on the number of servings you are making.
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add 2 teaspoons of Promise Light Spread to the skillet and allow it to melt.
Meanwhile, dip your Ozery Bakery bun in the Egg Beaters mixture, being sure to slather both sides with Egg Beaters.
Place into pan. Allow to brown on one side before flipping and browning the other side. You may need to add another teaspoon of Promise Light Spread when you flip the toast. Serve with your favorite reduced calorie syrup. I sometimes sprinkle a dash or two of cinnamon on mine, either after adding the syrup or when I put the butter in the pan before making the toast itself.
I am a big fan of French toast. It is a great comfort food and is so simple to make, not just for breakfast but for a light supper or an indulgent snack. Using the low calorie Ozery Bakery buns in the recipe makes it healthier and less guilt-free!
