Now you may recall that I recommended a low calorie cookies-and-cream shake from Spiru-tein in previous post, and yes, this is one of my favorite flavors! (After all, when you blend the impeccable deliciousness of chocolate sandwich cookies with the goodness of ice cream, the result is a taste combination that is irresistible). I also recently reviewed Arctic Zero ice cream (only 150 calories per PINT), and in a previous post I recommended the low-calorie mint ice cream sandwiches from So-Delicious. But what’s not to love about ice cream? You don’t have to be a kid standing on the street corner waiting for the ice cream truck to be a big fan of this chilly and yummy treat. Especially when you’re eating Dryer’s Light Cookies-and-Cream Ice Cream that has fifty percent less fat and thirty percent fewer calories than your traditional ice cream choices – but is still just as yummy
Each ½ cup serving contains 130 calories and gives you a great deal of the traditional ice cream taste with just 4 grams of fat per serving (so 3 weight watchers points).
For an unbelievable low calorie milkshake, I’ve found that blending Almond Milk with ½ cup of Dryer’s Cookies-and-Cream ice cream creates a milkshake so rich and delicious, you’ll think it is much more fattening than it really is.
Here’s my take on a low calorie Cookies-and-Cream Shake (4 delicious weight watchers points):
½ cup Dryer’s Cookies-and-Cream Light Ice Cream
1 cup almond milk or coconut milk
1 cup crushed ice cubes
Put all in blender and puree until smooth. Sit outside and savor as this is the perfect summer time treat!
